TIP: Cut down on font problems and costly film reruns. When sending files for output to your service bureau include all the fonts. Use postscript fonts whenever possible and don't use the little switches on the bar that change to italic and bold.

If I do the scanning myself what resolution should the scans be?

300 pixels per inch is a safe bet for photographic images and 1200 pixels per inch for lineart such as a logo. For any graphics to be used on the internet 72 pixels per inch is the standard.
